Tonnex launches new Reseller Rewards program
PORT MELBOURNE, VIC -- January 22, 2007 – As Tonnex’s Reseller Rewards program draws to a close,
the printer consumables wholesaler has decided to continue the program into a 2nd year. The current
program offers customers a minimum of 2 points per dollar on all purchases from Tonnex. Customers then
use these points to redeem their choice of over 400 reward items available.
The program has been a huge
success since its launch last February, with over 850 members to date and Tonnex Marketing Manager
James Rendell couldn’t be happier with the result so far. “When we launched the program the key was to
foster stronger customer loyalty and add true value back to our customers. The growth in average customer
expenditure and the constant positive feedback are a real testament to the success of the program, not to
mention the fact that we have had so many resellers eager to join”.
The decision to continue the program was an easy one for Mr. Rendell given the strong customer demand.
“When we saw the registration and campaign result figures mid year I was confident that continuing the
program was very viable. Then after recently completing some primary research and learning of the true
value that the program has to our customers, the rest was a no brainer”. These campaign results have also
greatly impressed HP, who has continued their support of the program for another 12 months.
The
campaign has also gained attention of both Epson Australia and Brother International (AUST) who have
lined up to partner with the program. When asked about Epson’s partnership, Regional Sales Manager for
Epson Australia, Dean Magrath said “our partnership with Tonnex is constantly growing and the market
success of their Reseller Rewards program in its 1st year makes it is something we want to support going
forward”. Likewise, Brother International (AUST), Victorian State Manager, Andy O’Donnell stated that “this
program offers a great deal to Tonnex’s customers and as one of our key distributors with whom we have a
strong partnership we are very keen to support their plans for the coming year. The ability and relationship
to support this program is something we are very pleased to commit to”.
The new program, set to launch in early February, has been titled Reseller Rewards PLUS and when asked
about the campaign, Rendell said that the program had more benefits, more rewards and more for the
customers. “The concept of the campaign moving forward is to further strengthen our relationships with our
customers. This program does not replace great service or great pricing, it is very simply a reward, so let’s
make it rewarding”. After completing research about the campaign last year, Tonnex uncovered what
rewards customers want in the program. “People like technology. Probably more so than we 1st expected.
The campaign will always have a diverse reward range, from kitchenware to power tools. But this year there
will be more technology items such as Notebooks and Console games such as Nintendo DS and Playstation
3 as well as the very popular Plasma/LCD range. We are really excited about what we have in store over
the next 12 months” said Mr. Rendell.
Tonnex have also ramped up their bonuses, adding birthday bonuses, website quiz’s and early payment
bonuses to name a few. “The program is fun, so why not make it fun. This is why this year we are giving our
customers bonuses such as triple reward points on their birthday, the ability to answer a monthly website
quiz for 1,500 bonus points and some extra bonuses for early account payments”, said Mr. Rendell.
Existing members will be sent a welcome pack early in February with the new reward catalogue. Anyone
